Why Skeletons & Skulls?

Skeletons and Skulls form part of my experiments with Structuralism. Explained as; examination of Myths that appear to be part of individual and collective sub-conscious. Then confronting sub-conscious to avoid and prevent being swallowed up by, or becoming overwhelmed by, or overtaken by Myths.

I achieve this by working with dramatic fantasy of strong characters in strange settings. Placing these in the ‘space’ that enables rationalisation and integration into everyday reality and conciousness, linked to establishing dialogue with the ‘space’ revealing that the contents of the ‘space’ encompassess all things; physical, fantasy and illusion; all totally harmless and fun. A cognative effect.
